Hand, Neck & Décolleté Treatments in Manchester & Cheshire

Our hands, neck and décolleté are often the first places to show signs of ageing, due to these areas being neglected within skincare regimes and the level of exposure to sun and environmental factors these areas recieve.  Here at Manor Skin Spa, we pride ourselves on our devotion to every clients individual need, with this in mind, we can offer you a range of treatments specifically tailored to give you results on your hands, neck and décolleté.

Obagi ELASTIderm® Décolletage

This 2 point system will visibly rejuvenate the skin on your décolleté that has perhaps been sun damaged, or simply forgotten about in your normal skin care routine and is now showing the signs of ageing such as lines, wrinkles, sun spots and discolouration.

How It Works

The ELASTIderm Décolletage System is clinically proven to restore beautiful looking skin in this highly sensitive area:

The Skin Lightening Complex

  • Is formulated with 4%, hydroquinone, an ingredient well known for reducing hyperpigmentation (discolouration) and age spots on the skin.  This part of the treatment is particularly useful for patients who have sun damage in this area, as it effectively lightens the dark spots.

The Wrinkle Reducing Lotion

  • Is formulated with ELASTIderm’s unique Restorative Elasticity Complex, this completely revives the moisture levels in the skin.
  • Contains a unique bi-mineral complex to help replenish elasticity and build collagen for increased skin strength and resilience meaning you will continue to see an improvement in your skin for some time after the treatment.
  • Includes malonic acid to help stimulate the production of healthy skin cell and to continue this production after treatment.

Both of these products used together tackle the main worries that our patients have with this delicate area and indeed most of them see an immediate improvement.  However, if your not sure this treatment is right for you, we do have other options that you will be able to talk to your therapist about.

Other treatments available:

  • Microdermabrasion
  • Skin peels
  • Infra red

Hand Rejuvenation

To remove signs of ageing on the hands, unfortunately takes more than the use of hand cream, but this does  help, of course.   As we grow older, the skin all over our body and face looses it’s plumpness, it becomes thin and fragile.  As our hands are so exposed, these signs of ageing are more apparent here than anywhere else.  However, just as we have the latest technology to banish signs of ageing from the face, we can now do this for the hands, too.

How is it done?

There are different types of hand rejuvenation treatments, each with their own different qualities and techniques.  The most common treatments that our patients prefer to use are:

Chemical Peel:   For this treatment, chemicals are applied to the skin making the outer layer of skin peel, which in turn stimulates the production of new skin underneath.  This will help to remove discolouration, age spots and will improve the overall look of the skin.

Microdermabrasion:   This treatment involves removing the top layer of dead skin through sanding with our diamond tip wand.  The result is younger looking, fresher skin with fine lines and discolouration diminished.

Sculptra™: Sculptra is an injectable filler that smooths out the skin and restores skin’s volume, but, most importantly, it stimulates your own collagen production.  Only a very small amount of Sculptra will be injected, the final effects will be visible to see after 3/4 months, at this point it will almost be totally your own natural collagen production.

How long will it take?

Depending on what treatment your practitioner recommends between 30-45 minutes.

What kind of results?

Depending on the treatment option most patients see visible results after the first treatment.

How soon can I go home?

Can I combine with other treatments?

All of the above treatment options are suitable for a combination of therapy’s. A combination of the above may be tailor made to suit your needs, your therapist will discuss this with you at your consultation.

Are there any side effects?

Again, depending on the type of treatment performed there can be some initial redness and slight swelling. Our experienced practitioner will discuss this with you.
